One of the most iconic symbols of the American west is the American bison. I like accuracy in plush animals and have made the markings and eyes like that of real American bisons. Why use cross stitch? Because cross stitch allows me to make tiny details that would be difficult to do by another method. Who says that cross stitch is only good for flat things? Now you can stitch a doll using cross stitch for the details.
The animal is stitched as 22 pieces which are then cut out and hand sewn together. His wooly coat is added using the "turkey work" stitch. Full assembly directions and turkey work instructions with illustrations are included.
